Because they didnt fuck anyone but themselves? There was a legit problem with the systems but they acknowledge it and dealt with it and you werent out anything as a consumer than a very small inconvenience of your time.

Ive been FUCKED by Sony on a couple occasions and had legitimate arguments with their customer service on the phone and just had a huge hassle with them. Im completely turned off Sony because theyve actually made horrible decisions and then fought me every step of the way.

So yeah. RROD was a minor inconvenience to us all, we all had to deal with it but at the end of the day it really wasnt a thing. I do find that funny to be turned off. Let me know when you actually get fucked by a company and see how your experience may change.

Sony with DRE, the ApocalyPS3 when it was unplayable on a leap year, the bad it is a feature square PSP button, removal of OtherOS, gimping BC for Europe, etc?

Hard reset fixes a lot of xb1 problems. Where you hold down power for 10 seconds or whatever. Always try that out of necessary

I do find it humorous someone would hold a grudge against the system cus of RROD? Yeah they fucked up the engineering of that system 100% but they also replaced them all free of charge. I went through 2 myself and it was no more hassle than packing up the system and waiting a week for a new one. Some people are easily bothered by things though.

they didnt replace mine. I sent mine twice and asked them to please replace it. But nope! They decided to repair it and have it rrod again.

if the machine goes off, it can't repair
if i pull the plug and replug in and start up, it's paired automatically no problem

I just synced by Elite v2 like 2 weeks ago with no issue. Sounding like user error unless the Xbox One S has a different syncing system.

The Xbox light should be flashing on both the controller and console until they pair.

okay i'm going to start the machine
here are the steps i will take

  1. push power on console
  2. wait until console is fully booted and then push power on controller
  3. if no pair automatically (as i expect), i shall push black button on console for a long time
  4. even though light will not blink on console, i will then push connect button on controller
