Because they didnt fuck anyone but themselves? There was a legit problem with the systems but they acknowledge it and dealt with it and you werent out anything as a consumer than a very small inconvenience of your time.

Ive been FUCKED by Sony on a couple occasions and had legitimate arguments with their customer service on the phone and just had a huge hassle with them. Im completely turned off Sony because theyve actually made horrible decisions and then fought me every step of the way.

So yeah. RROD was a minor inconvenience to us all, we all had to deal with it but at the end of the day it really wasnt a thing. I do find that funny to be turned off. Let me know when you actually get fucked by a company and see how your experience may change.

Sony with DRE, the ApocalyPS3 when it was unplayable on a leap year, the bad it is a feature square PSP button, removal of OtherOS, gimping BC for Europe, etc?

well i don't know what you're talking about with most of these because they don't affect me (i never owned a PSP, i don't live in europe, i don't wven know what you're talking about on some of that stuff) so i was not inconvenienced in the same way that microsoft has inconvenienced me

Hard reset fixes a lot of xb1 problems. Where you hold down power for 10 seconds or whatever. Always try that out of necessary

I did that a handful of times
Only thing that worked was a full power cord pull

I do find it humorous someone would hold a grudge against the system cus of RROD? Yeah they fucked up the engineering of that system 100% but they also replaced them all free of charge. I went through 2 myself and it was no more hassle than packing up the system and waiting a week for a new one. Some people are easily bothered by things though.

they didnt replace mine. I sent mine twice and asked them to please replace it. But nope! They decided to repair it and have it rrod again.

I'm not sure what to tell you if you can't get it to sync. I've had my one since launch and have maybe had single digit sync issues that I fixed within minutes.

now i came back and out of curiosity tried to turn it on with the controller
apparently i have to go through this resync bullshit every time with this fucking thing?

Can you return it? Could just be a faulty console or controller

Yeah there was a firmware update with the first boot for me. Something to do with the bluetooth and PC connectivity for the S controllers I think

same fucking thing
every time it's the same thing
if the machine goes off, it can't repair
if i pull the plug and replug in and start up, it's paired automatically no problem

I just synced by Elite v2 like 2 weeks ago with no issue. Sounding like user error unless the Xbox One S has a different syncing system.

The Xbox light should be flashing on both the controller and console until they pair.

You're definitely using the correct button, right? The black one on the lower right, underneath the xbox symbol, not the white one next to the disc drive?

If so, that could be a mechanical error with the console. in which case it would be a warranty repair

okay i'm going to start the machine
here are the steps i will take

1. push power on console
2. wait until console is fully booted and then push power on controller
3. if no pair automatically (as i expect), i shall push black button on console for a long time
4. even though light will not blink on console, i will then push connect button on controller
