You think Harrison Ford looked down on science fiction? Anyway do you think it would be hard to find examples of movies where the actors disagreed with the director in a big way? Like I remember hearing about how in Spartacus practically everyone thought the movie they were making was terrible. They disagreed with the director about everything. Kubrick pretty much disowns the movie today. And yet it is widely considered one of the great films in American cinema. And again you can find common examples of this. A lot of the best movies are ones where the actors disagreed bitterly with the direction their movie was going.
