The motherfucker should be impeached, convicted, removed from office, and then tried and actually convicted for actual criminal federal and state charges connected to his corruption, threatening, and treasonous behavior.

If it's proven that, yes, there is demonstrable evidence showing that he committed impropriety then it is only just that he be removed from office.

But I don't want it to be done as a political move, simply as acting on justifiable cause.

We can start with asking a foreign leader to investigate a political rival, and move on to telling anyone who could provide an account of the conversation or the timeline before/after it not to testify, and stonewalling every investigation into his conduct. These are not the actions of a man who has nothing to hide.

If these witnesses could exonerate him, why tell them not to testify?

Once he becomes a KNOWN criminal and traitor, I will no longer support him. I still believe in the concept of innocent until proven guilty. That's what the Senate trial is for. I understand that it will be just as politically motivated as the whole impeachment process. The whole thing is a farse from both ends.

When a court decides you are guilty or not, they don't determine the sentence. You could in theory be determine guilty of a crime and never given a sentence.
