I don't even know how that's possible, I did a 42 hour work day once and just reeked afterwards.

I guess to be fair I got like six hours of rest and then work throughout the next day but still. That one experience was enough.

Unless it's something like driving. I can drive for days straight.

This. I could put up with that kind of workload for a while if the payoff was so ridiculous, but I'd never want to stick to it long term

168(hours in a week) - 84(work hours) - 56(8 hours a sleep for 7 days) =28(free time) You got to factor in food. commute time and laundry. Bills are mostly easy to pay online. I would do it for 5 years then retire.

depends on some other factors

like how enjoyable is working there?
how is the work schedule?
how is the commute?
is it 12*7 or is it 14*6?

I think I can pull it off if it's 14*6.... maybe lol

if you're working 6 days in a week on a 52 week schedule then you're working like 312 days in a year. you basically get paid like 3k a day. damn

but it's not feasible to work that much, like do we get any break at all? no month off? Christmas? anything?

I've done 7 days at 12 hours per day. It sucks. Once, and only once, a customer gave us a day and a half off. Full per diem, full overtime for the half day, and full per diem and double time for the Sunday to not work.

They thought we were getting burned out, and they were right. I'll never see that happen again, but it was certainly appreciated

Is it 12 hours a day, 7 days a week? Or 16.8 hours a day, 5 days a week? Either way, I probably would. It doesn't sound so bad. A normal week at both my jobs is about 14 a day, not counting waking up for work, getting ready, and travel. This isn't much more. Working for a year or more would be enough for me. Maybe 3 years to be safe.

Even right now, I just finished day 9 of my 13 days of work in a row. And on 11 of those days, I work both jobs. I do 13 days in a row 12 times a year (once a month). I think I'd be fine... For a while...

This. I fluctuate between 60-80 hours a week... so like guarenteed a mil? I could pull it off for that kind of money.

depends on the work though. Then Id have to agree with the short term guys.

Also people who think you could retire after a year need to look into this thing called income tax.

Even with tax, some people could still do it. Even half a million is a lot. If you already own a paid off house and car and stuff, you'd probably be fine. Especially if you invest it properly and save. I'd do it for like 3 years or so. And I'm sure I'd be fine. I' live off of much less a year. So, this would still be a huge upgrade to my current pay...
