GGs Ace. You're right about upsmash being a good oos for Inkling. I need to incorporate more into my gameplan. Doing it from a jab lock might be a very good option too.

It's a little too laggy for me now, getting late anyways. Ggs Hannibal. Again, seems like any time you touch Inkling's shield with something unsafe you're basically begging to be upsmashed. Most of my moves are unsafe on shield, too...basically everything besides pound, backair, and tomahawk grab. The sweet spot kills pretty early, too...around 70 to 80 on Puff I think.

Dunno if you remember but a couple matches ago you almost stage spiked me with your up b. I'm not sure exactly how you would practically land it, but that's another thing the Inkling at my locals likes to do. Seems like a really safe option to reversal your opponent's edgeguard attempt, since if it doesn't work you just grab ledge.

Also, I have a confession to make. I don't do b reversals or attack cancels. I tried learning it once, and while I was able to perform it (albeit very inconsistently), needing to use a modified control scheme to do it really annoys me. Idk how useful it is for Puff, though I do know Falcon benefits immensely from it

It's all good. I don't know how to AC but RARs are ingrained into my muscle memory since Inkling relies on them heavily. I did it in practice mode and than tried it out online to get the hang of it. I don't know how useful AC would be for Inkling.

And yeah I just played more defensively around your puff. As you said he aeriels aren't safe on shield for the most part and upsmash is good at catching and killing puff.

As for stage spikes with upB, I've tried to do it against you but Puff's lingering aeriels kinda screwed me over that. That and I'm not so good at the timing. But I've done it at locals, when I went up against a Lucina player I took all his stocks by reverse edgeguarding him with super jump. He got smart the next game and stuck with ledgetrapping instead.

Meant to ask earlier but now that a month has passed do you think 6.0 helped Puff out significantly? From what I've seen she still has her big flaws. When we were playing I was constantly walling you out with bair since it's a disjointed move, also being in shield.

I think she's around high mid tier now. Mostly just because of the dair and pound buffs. She has a few MUs where she dominates and a few where she gets dominated, but most seem pretty even to me. Broken recoveries severely diminish her main strength, edgeguarding, but having the rest confirms greatly mitigates that. At least it's not Smash 4

Anyone know how to play LUcas good? I kept getting to final 8 round and then got pwnt multiple times in tourneys yesterday.

That's GnW plan. He wants you to approach him since that's how he thrives. You have to play more defensively around him.

A lot of the top Mexican Inkling players like Chag, Wonf and Bedgar plus Maister think it's a losing MU for Inkling.

Falcon seems like a bad MU for Isabelle

Falcon has good mobility so he can be in Isa's face all the time. He can also juggle her since she's a floaty character with no real good get off me option. Also recovering low with upB versus Falcon is a pretty bad situation since his dair is pretty good and her recovery slow as fuck
