All of the humor in it looked like it was observational. "There's a demon on my back!! Oh my god guys, a demon. On my back!!" In every scene.

I think it isnt that, its more that people let nostalgia blind them. The movie was on par with the other two movies. People just hate change. It's no different than old people not liking new music

I tried to like it but it was still very boring. I mean, I honestly like all 4 of the actresses in other stuff, especially Wiig and I fucking love Thor. It still couldn't be saved.

I saw it and thought it was okay. I felt like it got beat up on a lot and it wasn't nearly that terrible. It was barely a 5/10 movie overall, but it wasn't unwatchable or anything. If I had to watch it or Batman vs Superman again, i'd watch Ghostbusters.

The people who wanna tear shit down are the same ones setting the bar higher than it was suppose to be. That way, if it's not a classic, they can feel justified to shit on it as much as they want.

However, I never seen it and don't care about this movie or series. That's just a general observation.

Er, based on everything I saw, the new movie had none of the charm of the original. The original had a lot of criticisms of government bureaucracy and actually explored the science of the technologies. The new one did not.

I dont hate it. I just have zero interest in seeing a reboot of a series that didnt need to be rebooted.

The trailer for the new one has me interested just by virtue of being within the same continuity as the original films, even if Im a bit tepid towards the the heroes did fuck all since the last movie came out thirty years ago trope.

The second movie is okay. It lacks comedy, but it has more ghosts than the first movie.

The third film is just spiteful. It could've coincided with the original mythology. They could've made the lead Egon's daughter and had her assemble a new team. But instead they decided to make it a reboot and go on a vicious campaign accusing anyone unhappy with the decision of being sexist.

I don't care if it's okay. The first movie was a lot better than just okay. And fans had legitimately been waiting out the better part of three decades hoping for a third entry in the series. Well, for better or worse, we're gonna step right over that remake as if it never happened and get that second sequel.

While the movie isn't as bad as people make it out to be it has a lot of flaws and I can understand why people hate it. Personally I wasn't fond of the lower stakes. We went from an ancient god in the original to an angry human in the remake.

Ghostbusters 2016 was basically as bad as any of the proposed sequels over the years sounded like they were going to be.

But its become one of my main fall asleep to movies so I guess thats something.
