I expect it to be an entertaining and technically well made movie that is divisive and ultimately unsatisfying for many fans who care about series lore and how this film works as a sequel to the OT.

It also looks to have a little too much of the self aware MCU-type humor that fell flat in TLJ and doesnt really fit Star Wars, in my opinion.

An example - when Poe prank calls Hux at the beginning of episode 8.

The humor in the MCU is fine in the MCU. It works in Guardians of the Galaxy, for example. I just dont think it worked so well in The Last Jedi.

I expect the Rey and Kylo confrontation to be the only good part of the movie.

After ep. 8 made such a mess of things, I can't possibly imagine how anyone could turn things around in one film. I wasn't in love with ep. 7, but it was at least a foundation to build on. If Abrams decides to retcon basically everything from The Last Jedi out of the timeline, I wouldn't blame him one bit.

IV and V.

I mean, there are parts of the other movies that are great, but as a whole the quality is poor. IV and V are the only movies that I can say are great from start to finish. I've come to the realization that I really like Star Wars only as a universe and I like very few of the individual canon movies.
