They're really nice when done right. Cheap, extremely durable so you do t really need to clear land for it. If a tree falls on it, you just push it off

I'd do it if the price is right

Sadly this is going to become the new norm as "traditional" housing becomes unaffordable for everyone except the ultra wealthy and criminals.

they can be made out of shipping containers. but they can also be made out of other things. it's not a given that "modular home" = "shipping containers".

but you know that. you know what a search query like what you put in is going to return. try just searching for "modular homes" if you want results that do anything besides confirm your incomplete preconceived notion.
