I like to take my time and talk to everyone, get every item, ect before moving on. She just blazes through as fast as she can. She beat Omega Ruby in a week once.

I feel like I've become too much of the latter. I used to play games to death and explore every inch for the fun of it. Nowadays, I think mini-map spam open world games have soured me on exploration. I kind of miss when games were fun to explore for the sake of exploring.

Classic WoW is an example of that, versus modern WoW. Achievements turned everything in modern gaming into a checklist of "do this pre-set task for a small sense of accomplishment. Then do thousands of identical or slightly-different tasks to fill out a meaningless book of nothingness."

I kind of miss when the carrot on the stick was a desire of your own making, not something the game was telling you to want.

I like that take my time and explore in Pokemon, sure not all of it is important but I rather see what they have to say then just ignore non essential characters.
