Do you think Bret would have made up with Vince sooner and returned to WWF during the Invasion or 2002?

It was a work

but for real he would have return if only because he didn't want to fuck off to Japan and no company could afford him

I think, if it was just the screwjob, yeah he would've come back, but by 2002 and the somewhat recent death of his brother...that would've been the bigger issue.

It would've taken a while due to the Owen Hart incident. The screwjob is just backstage politics. Owen was his brother.

He wouldn't of returned for the invasion storyline. He would of sat out his contract like most of the big guys did. Afterwards I think he would of just bitched online about the product and maybe joined TNA.

The botched mule kick delivered by Goldberg gave Bret Hart a severe concussion. Unaware of the severity of the injury, Hart continued to compete in matches in the days that followed. Hart would later be diagnosed with post-concussion syndrome and he had to relinquish his title on January 16, 2000. Later that year, Hart retired from professional wrestling.

No way in hell would he have come back for that, and no chance in hell Vince would have wanted to pay him.

After the Owen Hart incident, Vince definitely wouldn't have the audacity to hold a grudge over some stupid belt.

Nah, but maybe we would've gotten Angle VS Hart in TNA.

Bret willingly attended the 2006 Hall of Fame ceremony after the screwjob, Owens death, and having his career ended by that talentless, piece of garbage Goldberg.

Im sure he would have returned as an active wrestler somewhere down the road even if it was a short term stint.

I still hate Goldberg for that. I waited years for WCW to actually make good use of Hart and then when they finally do, Goldberg's talentless ass ends it immediately.

WCW should've trained Goldberg better. They got him so used to matches that were like 2 minutes long; if that...which is the result of the double edged sword of his push. The Steve Regal match really exemplified the issues...

I love Goldberg, but the inexperience showed at times and...Hart's injury was totally his fault.

That was exactly the issue. They would just send him out to squash people every week so that's all he really knew how to do. His cardio was trash. Go back and watch his PPV matches from that era, dude got gassed by 7-8 minutes every single time. Say what you will about guys like Hogan, Hall, and Nash, they knew how to wrestle longer matches without falling apart.

It also turned Goldberg into a huge mark for himself and never appreciated the business as a whole. This is nothing new and long time wrestling fans always knew this about Bill Goldberg the person, however, his recent interview with Stone Cold not only reminded people of the fact, but also proves that he's STILL a mark for himself and doesn't appreciate the business to this day.

I wonder how he would have been booked once Bischoff and Russo were gone later in 2000.
