Let's say you have a video game with a sci-fi world that's like Blade Runner meets Men in Black. The studio wants a female lead. You get to decide her personality, body type, and attire. She has to be confident and capable of taking down bad guys.

You can't, at least not anymore. Twenty years ago you could create any type of character you wanted and no one ever questioned it because there wasn't an army of twitter trolls whining about inclusivity. Now the endless whining has cast doubt on any decision people make to make a female character, because it's hard to prove if it's a creative choice or just pandering. I don't think we'll ever have another Lara Croft.
