If you had better reading comprehension you'd understand, like everyone else, that it's about the most noteworthy people - not necessarily the "best" in a moral sense.

to be fair, the award is about global impact, good or bad (though exceptionally impactful but exceptionally bad nominations have sometimes been discarded in favor of more palatable selections)

I know this. But, there are several problems. The perception, amongst many people, is that it IS positive. Plus, of course, this gives certain people free publicity. Do you see, Archie?
