Put maybe 100 hours total on my PS4. Plug it back in to try out spiderman and my PS4 won't read discs. Sounds loud as hell trying to also. Lol.

My Xbone stopped reading discs a couple months ago. "Luckily" this happened before Black Friday, so I just got the Fallen Order + One S bundle for $186 after tax (Target discount, yo). Would have cost me $120 to get it fixed so why not get a brand new system at that point.

Hopefully Sony's customer service and/or repair prices aren't as godawful as M$?

I mean this ps4 is years old. I just never played it besides ffx, bloodborne, and idk maybe one other game. Won't read discs now tho. Some people said to try and put it vertically. Doesn't fix in my center vertically but I am gonna try it on my carpet right now to see if it works.

Makes weird whirring sounds then like an eject and accept sound and then more whirring and beeping before saying unrecognized disc.

Just sitting here fucking around while this downloads. The interface is a lot more responsive and better than Xbox's just due to being simplified. I dunno if you can do themes on Xbox but the themes on PS4 are kinda cool.

Wow update finally done. The update took longer than the actual game itself. And the update was only 11gb and the game was 44gb. If there is another update after this I am throwing my PS4 in the river.

5G signals do not go through walls well at all. Like ridiculously poorly.

That's cool and all but my TV my PS4 is connected to has 5ghz capability and has 100% connection, so if PS4 could take the signal, I am sure it would be 100%% for it also.

Yeah, I read you have to keep pausing and restarting to try and get connected to the better server basically. That two of them are really bad and the third one is decent.

If it makes you feel any better, I have it hooked up with ethernet cable and it's still kinda slow. Gigabit internet, too. Some things I don't mess around with.

I don't know how Xbox and PS4 got away with slow downloads all gen. I mean, PS4 was way slower than Xbox but still both were ridiculous. Trying to require you to always on and download while asleep was not exactly a real fix. Why also wouldn't spiderman let me play while partially downloaded? I thought both consoles offered that now.

FWIW mine doesnt have particularly slow download speeds. Even the huge updates like gran turismo and system updates never take longer than 10 or so minutes. I guess the servers are better in China because PS4 is basically banned here

If you really want to "lmfao PS4" it should be at them requiring you to uninstall and redownload a game if you had it installed from disc and get a digital copy.

Is all the side content in Spider-Man the backpacks and crimes? I have almost all the towers and backpacks at this point. I have the 2nd suit, but it won't let me build more yet. Idk if I should add powers to the suits or not. It uses my medals, and I don't know if I need to conserve them. I did 2 missions so far (the initial, and the dock one). So, I am barely into the game at this point. I see a point of interest medal but I don't know how to unlock them.

How do you view the trophies and progress of them for the game ur playing on PS4?

If you press the Playstation button on the controller, it takes you to the system startup menu, and one of the sub menus along the top should be for trophies. I am not really a trophy/achievement hunter, so I am not aware if they have a progress meter like XB1 does
