And climate change deniers are going to continue to exacerbate these problems. This is so tragic.
WTF does this have to do with climate change? Firehawks literally start fires in Australia.

Denying climate change should be treated the same as holocaust denial.

There should be no reason that ignorance of the facts should be tolerated in any way by anyone.

My cursory research says that these birds do not start fires and that the number of them who pick up burning branches are not high. No one even knows if they do it on purpose or just accidentally.

Clearly there is a bigger issue if a few wayward birds can burn your country to the ground.

Everything starts fires in Australia at the moment because our conditions are terrible.

It was hotter for a lot more than usual last year so they weren't able to do as much backburning as usual so now we're getting massive fires.

But yeah this is fucked, many species are gonna go extinct due to these fires. Absolutely disgusting that you've got ass c***s still parroting premade lines like "bUt WhAt AbOuT cHiNa AnD iNdIa???" in response to these worsening natural disasters, as if the western world needs to start fixing foreign countries before they fix themselves.

How much do we need to kill the planet and how long do we need to wait between destruction before we can finally attempt to address climate change? Another few decades?

One year is the result of climate change?

No, we need to see a TREND to see a difference.

Keep in mind, if climate change is the reasoning, we have only seen a slight increase in the global temperatures at around 1% since we started recording. This means that if 1% increase in temperature is a problem, how is a year to year difference showing the 'effects' of climate change? The change year to year is minuscule. We cannot quantify the change.

Agreed. Why don't we go after the polluters... China, India, etc. The rest of the world may have a higher 'per capitia' emission, but per capita doesn't mean anything when we are looking at the entire world.

"It's too late to leave, so shelter in your house, but if you see the fire outside run away".

Seems... counter-intuitive. Either it's not too late to leave, or it is too late to leave and you're fucked because your house is in a really, really dangerous spot.

It's too late to leave, but if your other option is dying in the inferno that takes your house, TRY running. It probably won't work.

But to translate this "You fucked up mate and the situation is in the dunny. You're about knackered whatever you do."

Also, I'm willing to bet at least one person is looking at that going "I don't have any pure cotton or wool clothes. It can't be THAT big a deal." Well, enjoy melting nylon burns. Seriously, US Forest Service bans under armour because of that, hell, the USMC does too because the artificial stuff melts. Not that it really matters, at this point, if you haven't run, you're fucked three ways from Sunday anyway.

Yeah why don't the Australian, American, etc governments stop ignoring/increasing their effects on climate change at home and start addressing it in other countries?

Who do you feel is not "going after" some of the biggest polluters and what do you want them to do differently?

Scientists have been telling all of us motherfuckers to pay attention for decades.

All of us are not going after the biggest polluters. Heck, our 'climate' leaders are using personal jets to discuss issues regarding it instead of telecom or commercial travel (On that note, I do applaud Greta for using a low emission craft herself - although her team does not). We need to use the UN for good for once and actually hold members accountable and to the same standards worldwide. We cannot simply place arbitrary limits on SOME countries and not on others as that will do nothing ultimately. We are a globalist society - by placing limits on some nations and not others, we can damage their economies, environments, and people as well.

The former helps to cause the latter, though.

[LFAQs-redacted-quote]

That's really all you can do, sadly. No one, not a single soul, is ever willing to consider anything anyone has to say about doing fewer things that harm animals/the planet/anyone outside of your immediate family. It is a form of venting, because what else could it be?

Call it marketing bluster if you like, and say that "every country is her favorite country to perform in when she's performing there" - but I've always gotten chill, genuine vibes from Pink in every interview she's ever done.

Her support here only reinforces my opinion. Tonight we stan One (1) pop star

Faster than cars/trucks can drive apparently. It depends on which way the wind blows. If you're traveling opposite the direction of the wind the fire will "move" relative to you very slow. If the wind changes course though you'll find the fire faster than almost anything you can travel in.
