Child of Eden

I really, really tried playing this with the Kinect before resorting to the controller.

Ya, I to this day never used the Kinect.
I actually had it as a 360 game.
But I suspect it is better with a controller anyway.
Still a very nice game.
Really a work of art.

i am playing Read Only Memories: 2064 now. it's a point and click adventure game set in neo san fransisco 2064.

initially i was interested because it is in the same universe as Va11-Hall-A so i bought it on winter sale. the game have exceeded my expectations especially in the term of the story. cool sci-fi concept, there is dana cameo and the story and characters are all brilliant. turing is fucking great and so are the supporting characters. the jokes are funny and the writing is sharp.

The Secret World

Which I know people have heard of but it was a criminally underrated game :(

The PnCA genre is positively flooded with obscure yet excellent games.

I guess to be fair, it's also positively flooded with obscure yet terrible games. But reviews can help you pick out the former. :)

Probably at least a few people still know about the Descent franchise -- the 6DOF shooter games from the 1990s -- but I do get the sense that it's been somewhat forgotten in the legacy of the FPS genre.

I've played a lot of Descent II specifically and I definitely have a soft spot for it. The movement controls, level design, combat, soundtrack, everything.

i play tons of point and click games, even communicated with one of the developers sometimes.

recently i played gibbous

https://store.steampowered.com/app/914020/Gibbous___A_Cthulhu_Adventure/

pretty good one. throwback to curse of monkey island. the puzzle isn't as complex but the characters, jokes, voice acting, music, art are all very great. recommended.
