Huh, surprised at that, he had said he wasn't leaving. Granted I know that doesn't mean much but he seemed pretty steadfast. Maybe he just said that so he didn't have to interview with cleveland.

Rhule wouldn't even give the Giants an interview. It was long considered by even those close to him that the Giants would be at or near the top of his list, and he wasn't even interested in talking to them.
So the Giants didn't even interview the only two candidates they actually wanted. This is the lowest point they've been at in what 20 or so years? And they still have a GM everyone knows should've been fired by now. That's a big draw obv. --- Never underestimate the power of stupidity in numbers. ~War13104 Never stoop to the level of idiots. XFL RULES
A kickoff designed to discourage touchbacks and increase the likelihood of a return: The ball will be kicked off from the 30-yard line, but the coverage and blocking teams will line up at the receiving team's 35- and 30-yard lines, respectively. Only the kicker and returner can move until the ball is caught, or three seconds after it hits the ground. A touchback will be spotted at the 35-yard line. Kicks out of bounds will go to the 45-yard line. --- Thank you, Eddie Guerrero. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DRlKR5nU8AA_v_C?format=jpg&name=large ... Copied to Clipboard!

A total of nine officials on the field, one of whom will be dedicated solely to spotting the ball to minimize downtime between plays. XFL head of officiating Dean Blandino said most XFL officials have experience at the Division I college level. Blandino, the former NFL officiating chief, has been consulting with the XFL for more than a year. He performed a similar function for the Alliance of American Football (AAF) last spring. --- Thank you, Eddie Guerrero. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DRlKR5nU8AA_v_C?format=jpg&name=large ... Giants: Pat Shurmur won 9 games with the Browns! Let's hire him to be our head coach.
Giants: Okay, that didn't work out. let's take a belichick disciple. Those always work out. Is Eric Mangini available? No,he's with Fox. Umm... how about Josh McDaniels? No, wait. He withdrew from the Colts job. Even we know that's a bad idea. Who's their Defensive Coordinator? Bill Belichick? Well let's hire him? WHAT DO YOU MEAN THATS NOT HIS SON? DAMMIT! Okay, fine. The special teams coach. Surely that will work out well for us. Joe Judge, huh? Wonder if he's related to Judge Judy. --- Board 8 Mafia Archive: ashchive.altervista.org ... Copied to Clipboard!

So this is how bad it's gotten for the Giants that they immediately made THAT hire in a desperate attempt to save face.
Though really the biggest mistake by far in the past few years was continuing to ride an Eli Manning everyone knew was done. I saw them as a 4-5 win team this year. Toss in that loss to Washington at the end of the season and that just puts them yet another tick back. The Jets quietly built a foundation to start with again and went a respectable 7-9 this year. If they build properly in this off season that 7-9 could turn into 9-7, a fringe playoff team. The Giants still need so much help that it feels like 6 wins is already going to be their ceiling for next year. How did the Maras let this degrade to this point that the Jets are looking so much more competent than the Giants? --- Never underestimate the power of stupidity in numbers. ~War13104 Never stoop to the level of idiots.
