Current Events > I'm at work by myself right now because no one didn't show up.

Nobody is answering their phones. Not even the managers of the store. So I've been telling everyone were closed. I'm just a cook at jack in the box. So I can't take orders right now. Which is cool with me though. Chilling getting paid to post on CE. <_<

Anyone been in this situation before?

I was working my ass off in a restaurant, one day I asked my manager to come with me outside. I said, Look man, im doing this and this and this. You need to give me a raise or else find someone else to do my job.

I got my raise.

It's great when it works. But when it doesn't, you lose your job. Based on what's happening in their life, they may need the job...

I used to work at a Family Dollar in the Phoenix metro area. Got called in to a store in a really sketchy part of town, and the AC in the building didn't work. Had to call up the corporate divisional manager and have him come over to open the store because the manager who was supposed to be there walked out the night previous. Ended up closing the store down for several days because it was 106F inside the store. Also, there were a few torn up mattresses and desks out back near the dumpster where the homeless would crash for the night.

Never work at a dollar store, it's not fucking worth it.

The twist is that TC is dead and haunting the building hence why no one wants to go to work there.

Probably because the whole store will just not show up some days. Though, tbh, Id probably work there if all I had to do was show up and not work because the others didnt show. But I still make money...
