I've clocked in 73 hours already, and I haven't even touched KK yet. Still trying to 100 % Specter Of Torment first.

The climbing minigame can kiss my ass though.

Ha ha yeah! SLAMMING!

I really should give that game another try someday. I beat the original campaign and I can remember raging at some parts.
Yeah the later levels get a little silly with the pitfalls, and air time sections.

I'm best at the Specter of Torment expansion since it's similar to Ninja Gaiden, which is about the only hard NES game that I was ever good at lol. Shovel Knight I'm hit and miss.

It really is great. I love how different the characters play too. Its almost like 4 full games in 1.

From the depths, the thing they called Worm King did rise.
Nirn itself did scream in the Mages' and Necromancers' war.

Yeah, the game is hard, and not always in a good way. I haven't played with King Knight(have it on the 3DS, so no dice there), but I would say (IMO) that Shovel Knight is probably the hardest and most frustrating one to play, because his mobility(especially aerial mobility) is much more constrained than Specter Knight or Plague Knight.
Still one of my favorite recent releases though. It's just so charming, and when it's on, it's ON.

yeah i've been pretty impressed with it. the amount of effort they've put into every entry in this thing is admirable. very clear labour of love.

It's interesting to see how much better Yacht Club got over time. King of Cards is probably the best of the four games in the sense that it has the most content.

I do think as far as platforming goes, Plague Knight was my favorite to use. Specter Knight is a close second.

It's in a secret area in Specter Knight behind the rails.
