$10,000 to use the facility
$1,000 to draw and test your blood
$8,000 for x-rays
$7,500 for the physician
$10 for aspirin

Better make sure you have good health insurance or you're broke.

Even if you have good health insurance you're going broke. For one, you have to pay for the damn plan.

Just.....don't pay.

Medical debt is quickly becoming irrelevant as credit checks are skipping that because everyone has so much of it.

This, I have medical debt that's magically disappeared lol

Gotta wait 7 years for it to drop off... unless they shortened it, but yeah, banks don't even care about medical debt either.

If that's the case then its already paid off. But my stubs showed no indication of it, unless it upped my Medicare/Medicaid/whateverthefuck charges

i have over 60k in medical debt after 5 ER visits 18 months ago. I get calls and letters from the creditors but nothing from the govt. I believe wage garnishment is more from the govt for taxes, not private debt.
then you should be put in debtors prison for not paying and not buying insurance

It's so bad. The worst part is you don't know how much a procedure will cost going in. It's a total black box, you only find out how much they're billing you 2 weeks later.

Then they tell you it's only $900 total for the procedure. And you're like "really?" So you pay the money. Then 2 weeks later you get another bill. It's for $1,500. You're like WTF? Then you find out that it's for the anesthesia and for the tech that performed it in you.
