The last year in our Townhouse they were changing the rent from $900 to $1,050 a month. Besides some outside paint work to select apartments and new toilets there was definitely not $1,800/year worth of improvements done for us to think about staying. The increase was because a new Kroger had been built and they were in the process of a new Target about 3 miles away.

30 days after receiving the notice we were moving into a house with significantly more space inside and out.

That's rough. I think mine went up by about that much last year. This place is a dump though. I'll be moving if it goes too much higher.

My complex was also bought out a few months ago so it's under new management. Probably the biggest factor here.

My rents gone up every year but this year it went up $100. this is due to the Raiders practice facility going up right down the road from me. It sucks.

My complex was also bought out a few months ago so it's under new management.

as someone who has lived through new landlord transfer. this could do that. was paying 750$ rent before a new company took over the rental units. things went fine at first but then the rent jacked up 250$ so it's 1k a month. though it isn't all bad the new neighbors have to pay 1150$ and the big house has to pay 1350$.

if push comes to shove would move but prefer that to happen when my dog passes away (very hard for someone to rent with a large breed dog) she is massive.

edit: was offered money to move but i decided against the deal.
