Ive been with them both since launch.

Microsoft said a lot of dumb shit before the console release but the end product was new and exciting and had a lot of awesome features.

Playstation was extremely boring console and still kinda is but theyve been blessed with some amazing games thats for sure.

But at the end of the day the Xbox platform has a lot more to offer than PS imho

I dont really understand it either but I dont think its just limited to gamefaqs. Its an internet thing.

My running theory tho is before the launch of PS4/Xbone people were really on the fence and people just wanted an easy answer of which to chose. What consoles them and their friends get so everyone is playing together.

And I think that one terrible E3 Xbox was the ammo anyone needed to make the choice. MS lost the race right then and there. But people still wanna act like thats the same company today? When theyre clearly very different, and have done a lot of good things with the Xbox brand.

No one. And I repeat fuckin NO ONE holds a grudge worse than the gaming community.

i've got all 3 current consoles and a gaming pc. i can't even remember the last time i turned my xbox on, let alone what game i last played on it. it just doesn't provide any reason to use it outside of backwards compatibility

Aside from the PS1 I've never really been a Playstation person. I've always been more interested in what Xbox has to offer and their controller is vastly superior to the dualshock so third party games always defaulted to Xbox. Now with Gamepass changing the way many people play games I'd honestly be fine if I didn't have any other systems.

I will say that I bought a PS4 the other month and after not having played one since the PS2 days there is a lot of really cool stuff out there and I'm looking forward to getting around to games I passed by years ago.

I don't get the fighting because all the systems are fun. Its embarrassing to watch honestly

Exactly this. The only PS4 exclusives I'm sad to have missed out on are Until Dawn and a couple of FF/KH remasters.

I've said it before but all 3 of these console makers are 1 bad move away from having a terrible generation. Sony with the PS3 reveal, Nintendo with the WiiU, and Microsoft with the Xbox One.

I at least give credit to Microsoft because that Xbox One reveal event was awful, and it has taken Phil Spencer 7 years to dig himself out of that hole. They could have just pulled a Nintendo with the WiiU and give up but they didnt.

Then play those games on PC. Microsoft doesn't care what door you use to enter, just as long as you enter their eco-system.

We are seeing the exact same thing with Sony porting their games to PC.

People bash on the X1 for not having "exclusives" but the ones that PS4 has, IMO at least, really aren't that great. I'd say Bloodborne is literally the only one I give a shit about.

To me though it's more about the hardware, online, and UI now as most of the games I play are 3rd party releases. The exclusives were better during the Xbox/PS2 & Xbox 360/PS3 days.

Next gen is gonna be interesting as people gradually realise that these companies aren't just consoles anymore.

If you're playing Gears 5 on PC via Gamepass with an Xbox One Controller you're considered an Xbox consumer in Microsoft's eyes.

Don't get me wrong. I LOVE that Microsoft is doing this. It makes all the sense in the world.

I love that Sony is starting to get it. 2 years after release, put it on PC. You literally lose nothing for doing it, cause how many sales (outside of GTA 5) are you getting 2 years after launch?

But having that all on PC makes it really unlikely for me to ever need an Xbox One.

So no, an Xbox One is not better than a PS4.

PC is now THAT much better than PS4.
