I'm starting to build up a visible belly. I used to play football (soccer) till I'm drenched in sweat in secondary school and sixth form but once I went to university, I stopped all exercise.

I need to start going on the treadmill. But it's boring as fuck. All my friends have turned fat also and wouldn't show up for a kick about.

I slowly put on weight as an adult but then really focused on the treadmill and lost a lot of weight, but yeah, its boring. After my daughter was born though I basically haven't had time for two years, so... >_>

No to both.

This, but being fair, the average person wouldnt know where to start. Theyd do a bunch of unnecessary low-intensity cardio, never lift weights, or get conned into buying insert overrated food because it has been marketed as healthy. For example, an avocado has way less sugar and carbs and have more potassium than a banana does, but people still buy bananas believing it is healthy for you despite it being almost exclusively made up of carbohydrates and sugar. The first step to eating better is to forget everything youve been taught about nutrition.

yeah it makes no sense because we have YouTube and the internet at our disposal. Nope, just going to listen to other fat people for advice on losing weight lol.

The problem is, me being a bit chubby now makes me look bulkier. I did go to a gym for a year so maybe that helped a bit. Im around 175lbs and 5ft11. In a jumper and skinny jeans I dare say i look pretty good.

If i lose weight back down to 130-140, im going to look thin and ugly like back in the days.

And we all know gaining muscle is harder than burning fat. Especially when im not a black man, im east asian. Probably the hardest gene to gain muscle.

Bananas are healthy though. Carbs and sugar don't make something unhealthy. Avocados are full of nutrition but are not great for weight loss due to the high calorie content. Bananas are low calorie and contain enough fiber to keep your blood sugar from spiking and keep you full for longer

Ive spent my fair amount of time lurking in the curly hair community online. Judging by some of your past posts, this sounds like you missing some nutrients from cutting out meat. How is your supplement stacking game?
I only cut out meat like half a year ago and minimized meat flexitarian style like 2 years ago. I've been receding for a decade. I think I just have balding genes. I just hope it stops at the widows peak I have and doesn't go into full on baldness

For me its cause I dont have any bald spots (just receding forehead) and if I did I'd rather just shave it off or get a hair transplant than fuck with pills that might do shit I don't want them to do. Also it helps my gf doesnt care if I end up going bald. Already had that discussion with her

At 30 I've put on about 25lbs and I'm starting to lose my hair. However all that weight has been healthy, put on over a year and a half with regular weightlifting and with protein supplements. My diet is mostly garbage but it's garbage in moderation. My one friend is weightlifting as well and is jacked, and another friend isn't and is rather tubby. We all share the same profession so no difference there.

Bottom line is, take care of yourself.

They really arent lol. Theyre low in protein, low in calories (energy), and higher in carbohydrates and sugar. Theyre nature candy. Avocados are essentially the perfect fruit with a reasonable content of carbohydrates, very low amount on the sugar, and filled with good fats. Calories in, calories out based eating needs to be thrown out the window. You can stay under 2000 calories a day by eating crap food like potato chips, ice cream, or a pizza, and your body will still look like trash and you will feel like garbage.
You're right that calories in, calories out doesn't tell the whole story about overall health but TC is worried about getting fat so it does matter when it comes to weight gain. Bananas aren't the best source of protein but neither are avocados. Both bananas and avocados are a healthy part of a balanced diet but it is much easier to over eat avocados due to their high calorie content. Bananas are great for weight loss since they're packed with vitamins, are low in calories, and is decently high in fiber. The fiber is what prevents your blood sugar levels from spiking from all the carbs so no it's nothing like candy. The fibers in bananas will also keep you satiated for longer so you won't be tempted to snack as much. So like I said, its not just about counting calories but reducing the temptation to snack.

Avocados are great too. Lots of vitamins, high in fiber and high in calories for those of you that need to bulk. Definitely need to be cautious when losing weight tho.

That won't put much of a dent in it at approx. 100cal/mile

So you eat +500 too much every day = +3500 per week

You work your ass off to run and burn = -2000 per week

You're just slowing down your fat lifestyle, not changing it

you cant workout a garbage diet. Lets assume you go to McDonalds and consume a McDouble, small fries, and large coke as a snack(yes I could do this easily lol) thats around 600 calories which can take up to 2 hours of actual pure exercise to burn off.
