From a gamestop closing down. Brought it to another Gamestop in town not closing down for store credit. All said and done, he bought every one in stock for 200, traded in for 75 in credit in profit for each one, ended up with a new Xbox one x and almost 800 in store credit for only the initial 200 in cash and the cost of gas.

So let me get this straight,

starting with $200 for 9 XB1X

$75 * 9 = $675 for trade-in

ends with new XB1X and $800 in credit

No matter how much the new XB1X is, the numbers don't lie--he's full of shit!!

E: Also, GS's making one hell of a profit on the XB1X trade-ins from redditor of $255 as they sell them used for $330. >_>

I had to read the OP a few times over as well. He bought 9 XBX for $200 in total, not $200 each? That's pretty cool. But then he pushed them back into the Gamestop ecosystem, that's kind of lame as store credit isn't real money.

It happens all the time. I remember once they ran a extra 60% (70 with membership} trade in bonus at the same time as a buy 2 get 1 free promotion. Wasn't long before someone came up with a list of a couple dozen games you can buy at 1 to trade into another and get more in credit than you spent. People did it for a couple hours to end up with 2k in credit that day.

Also once when best buy marked down certain games to 20, 16 with gamers club, that Gamestop was giving like 25-30 in credit so that became a thing as well.

Yeah, and I've done that too with EB Games up here, but does Gamestop not have a policy about not accepting duplicates?

Anyways it seems like he knows he's going to get banned as a result of this which I assumed was going to happen anyways even just reading what you posted here.
