Want to switch out the trash audio I get in my Honda civic. Want to know if it's as easy as pulling mine out and connecting a new one or whatever

without the proper tools it can be a real pain in the ass. have no idea how bad a civic would be, but you might have to remove most of your dash...

The speakers are usually easy.

The deck is a little harder.

Look it up on YouTube I guarantee there's someone with the same kinda civic doing it.

But no it is not plug and play you'll need a kit and wiring harness

I was swapping speakers and radios for a living when I was 12. Hondas are a breeze

If you know how to do it then it is easy.

I think repairing laptops is easy. Most people's head would explode if they had to change out a MB on a laptop

Yeah loads of times.

The door cards can be a bit fiddly, you might end up snapping some of the little plastic tabs that clip the door card to the body of the door. You can usually get replacements for pretty cheap, so no big deal.

Make sure you have the release pins for the offcoming head unit if you're swapping that out. You might need a couple of adapters to bridge the wiring harness to the new radio, especially if your car's a bit older.

I remember changing a head unit on an old 90s Honda once, the car was built back in the day when radios were stolen regularly, so with this radio the idea was if you were parked somewhere dodgy, you could pull the entire radio unit out and take it with you. Easiest swap ever, lol.

It's a 2016, I'm doing nothing to the radio if I can help it, I just want the speakers themselves to be better. It's hard to explain, but it's like the base speakers treat one layer of the music distantly and it can't be adjusted to sound better. It's driving me insane. Like there are entire instruments I can't hear in sounds because of it.

Ah, gotcha. Make sure you do your tweeters as well as it'll help with the sound quality - you can normally get a set of speakers and tweeters pretty easily.
