Tbh, who cares? I'm more of a 2nd chance kinda guy. If she slips up again in her life, it'll be a bit more grounds to consider that it's more of a Freudian slip than a mistake. I think it's a mixture of her previous mistake of saying he played for the Knicks, and then slipping when she made a mistake.

But there's a pretty big implication to ending somebody's life. She's probably not gonna live a good life let alone potentially ever get hired if this becomes a big news. What do you think such cancelled people without financial or societal power do? They probably have a pretty chance of just ending it all. It's not something that should be done lightly after a single mistake

I work with children & adults (reading comp & illiteracy) and this is a very common mistake for any person, at any age. It's called Spoonerism. It's a transposition of letters - N from Nicks for L in Lakers. It's awful how unforgiving people can be for a trip of the tongue.
