Trump should be voted out of office in November so this shouldn't be that much of an issue - definitely not one that would make people go to the streets. Besides, if Trump got removed from office you'd just have a year of Pence as president with basically no change to how the country is run.

The only problem is the DNC clearly doesn't want to nominate the best candidate by far (Bernie Sanders) and if Trump wins again it will be 100% on the DNC. I mean if the DNC's favored candidate wasn't 77-year-old Joe Biden the 2020 election would be almost guaranteed for them.

As a Canadian that has no real stake in American politics, I give this post two thumbs up. From where I stand, no one really gives a damn about what's actually right or wrong. Just whether "their" team is winning or losing. It's 100% fucked how so few people can actually see through the bullshit.

Exactly. They are all fucking criminals. Yet somehow THIS is the WORST thing Trump or the last two presidents have done (they weren't impeached)!!! They are impeaching him for pretty much the least bad thing they could and it's a total joke.

But, Im not so sure Trump would admit defeat like that. Hed claim the election is a sham and that the American people really want him instead so maybe he just wont step aside.

Just a friendly reminder that Richard Nixon's administration was far more cooperative with impeachment proceedings than Trump's has been. And Nixon was so blatantly guilty that he resigned before the senate trial.

Nixon resigned because a group of Republican senators told him he was going to be impeached and removed from office and that it was in his best interest to resign.

My cynicism has erased any will in me to protest against this government they way that it and it's bootlickers want me to (peacefully outside of their view). At this point, all we can do is start working to revolutionize our local communities and arm ourselves in the face of an ever creeping state monopoly on violence

A huge portion of the American public treats politics as a team sport: they only care if their team wins, not if anyone actually gives a shit about them. To that segment of the population, being boring is a huge issue.
