Got that achievement. I was a little nervous because I didnt save and I hit Plant 42 with Chris and had Rebecca use v-jolt. Completely forgetting you still have to fight one form. Went in there with caution health and all my health items in my save box. Said yolo and to start the fight I got stunlocked by its poison for 4 straight hits. Pulled it out on danger, was about to rage quit lmao.

Finished 3:03 and almost had a heart attack because I didnt get the achievement until I was already 2 minutes in the main menu lmao

How many hits does the final boss need to go down with the knife?

Congrats! Yeah you definitely did that trophy the harder way, playing as Chris, I think. His knife is better and he obviously has more HP (although less inventory space for heals), Jill can skip the entire Plant 42 fight so she kinda wins there. Chris does also have Becky though, so a couple more free heals which is nice. I did it with Jill myself.

Tyrant 1 took like 10-12 hits. I didnt even get hit once. I caught Him in loop going back and forth. Same with yawn I got lucky. Yawn hit me like 5 times and he had to have taken 20-30 stabs

and yeah I took Chris just because hes so much tankier

and you only run faster if you do the stairs glitch

None, you dont (or shouldnt) fight Tyrant on the helipad for a knife-only run. When you dont save your comrades and go for the worst ending that fight doesnt happen. Im not sure you can defeat the Tyrant without using the rocket launcher if you did try to get the good ending with the knife.

Yeah, the first Tyrant fight is actually kind of a joke. The hardest parts for me as Jill was fighting the dogs on the balcony for the Imitation Key and the Elder Crimson Head fight. I imagine Plant 42 would be awful.

I researched and found that helipad tyrant...you can shoot one rocket. It has to hit. If you miss and have to shoot again you will not unlock the achievement

You do run faster with the knife (or nothing) equipped. You run about 5% slower with a pistol or magnum, and about 10% slower with a 2-handed gun.

I played on a easier difficulty so I stood next to the herbs so you can swipe it while its running towards your direction and get a free hit. Then I just ran on it. The best thing was to tank a front bite where you knock it down to the floor then just go ham on it while its trying to recover

Ah thats right. They let you use the RL once and it still counts. So you just have to run the clock basically until Brad tosses it down.

My next run should wrap all but two achievements. I need to burn two zombies, give Barry the magnum. I saw a cool run where he takes the gun back, use 5 shots on Lisa and she dies, then you save the last bullet for the whats his nuts guarding the power button in the labs, escape with Chris and Rebecca, and my worst nightmare. Go to every room and collect every item.

then after that, its just beat invisible enemy and real survivor. What a pain in the ass, you have to beat the game I think 6 times
