It is dumb that people freak out when it's contextually relevant. Nobody should simply be free to go on TV and yell "n-word, n-word, n-word, I hate all the n-words" without expecting to be socially reviled, but it should be no issue if the program allows them to swear and they say "the n-word is a bad word."

I agree with you there. The impression has been created that all black people are okay with the word, so the excuse that "all of them use it" can be made for anyone else that wants to use it. In America, you're either a gang banger basketball rapper or a "normal" white person; no one else has real agency when it comes to these broader social discussions. The stereotypes are the only ones that get addressed.

You act like he is trying to deceive people into paying him tuition. The word "university" or the association of a school term to something not related to a school has been done many times before. There was no mass hysteria when Terrell Suggs used to say he went to Ball So Hard University. It's not being presented as a legitimate university and to argue that it is, is disingenuous. Again, if he starts signing people up for English 1101, let me know and I'll be right there with you.

This is simply not true.

Culture DOES impact words and their meaning. A clear example is the slang for cigarettes in the UK, or the C-word there and in Australia. Both are horrific words in America, yet in these two countries the words are either meaningless or just extremely tame.
