Studied EtherChannel today. I haven't spent much time on it before, so it was a tad exhausting. At least now I know why Network+ kept throwing LACP at me (not vendor proprietary).

About 2/3 of the way through Anderson's course. Studying port security and ACLs, today.

I'm going too fast. I want so badly to knock this thing out because I believe it is the key to my not so distant future employment, but I appreciate the knowledge so very much as well and this learning experience has been a blessing to me.

It can be tough to pace yourself and retain the knowledge. Go too fast and it's in one ear, out the other. Go too slow and you'll start to forget material you learned a month ago. This is why, even though people are reporting that there are no sims on the new exams, I'm a proponent of labbing. For me at least, that's how I get the material to stick.

Yeah, Cisco Packet Tracer is a valuable tool for actually practicing configuration and looking at show command output

I've considered buying one of those small books with essential IOS commands/sequences in them. They're only a few bucks on Kindle, so hey.

I've been studying everyday since I started with the Anderson course, and I hate to admit it but my brain is tired.

My friend just got one of those new Cisco DevNet certs. He's one of the first 500 people to pass it and will get an award for doing so.

I kind of want to hurry up and pass this exam for the sake of enhancing my resume, but I value the knowledge a lot. #internalconflict
