Thank you GameFaqs for...

Thank you for being the greatest video game website of all time.
Thank you for having the largest most detailed video game database. Literally containing every video game ever from arcade games, mobile games, and even unreleased/cancelled games! It's truly an amazing experience which seems too good to be true.
Thank you for having a fantastic advanced search feature which allows to search and filter games by platform, release dates, and even companies. And then also being able to organize and sort the results by metacritic or gamefaqs scores, as well as filter by amounts of ratings. Its hard for me to put into words how much I enjoy and appreciate this feature personally
Thank you for allowing us to create our own personal video game lists and making it easy for us to sort and modify it anytime.
Thank you for allowing me to organize my personal game collection and allowing me to view every game I own or want for each console. Something I've always wanted to have and appreciate this very much.
Thank you keeping your website simple yet advanced and keeping its same classic look/feel unlike sites like IGN which continuously update their websites layout and end up making its features worse.
Thank you for having organized and detailed sections dedicated to entire video game franchises, something I've never seen on any website except here.
Thank you for having a game rankings page which allows to sort by metacritic or gamefaqs scores along with number of reviews. As well as being able to filter by consoles.
Thank you for displaying the metacritic score on each video game's page and seeing the number of reviews when hovering over the score is so convenient too.
Thank you for displaying the user scores, number of votes, length of game, and difficulty of game for each games page. No other website has this and it makes me so grateful for GameFaqs.
Thanks for having daily polls as well as engaging contests such as top games of the decade.
Thank you for having a game credits page which lists games a specific designer/developer has worked on. It's very impressive that you have this feature. Goes beyond even being a video game database.
Thank you for treating every video game both old and new the same, and not giving newer consoles more importance than older ones.
Thank you for allowing me to experience nostalgia every time I browse through a specific year of video games through the advanced search.
Thank you for your massive and interactive community boards and allowing the community to make site suggestions. Something which is very difficult to do on sites like IGN.
Thank you for allowing me to get lost for hours and hours just browsing though video games and learning so much about them. (Series/Ratings/Company's/Ect)
Thank you GameFaqs for being free and not having any cheap 'Pro Feature Gimmiks' like IGN and Gamespot have.
Thank you GameFaqs for being the video game database paradise that you are.

Its only been a few months since I've discovered the paradise that is gamefaqs and I absolutely fell in love with it to say the least. I've always used IGN as my main gaming website but their continuous updates and changes literally began ruining the site. All their webpages became slow and clunky, filled with videos and unnecessary junk in attempts to make the site more "advanced". Worst of all their game rankings page has broken filters and it seems like half the games are missing from the results. They also got rid of user scores which is something GameFaqs highly values obviously. And IGN never considered video games before the N64 era so that was something that always bothered me. GameFaqs on the other hand prioritizes every single video game ever.

As someone who loves admiring and just browsing/learning about video game series just as much as playing them I was pretty bummed out at what IGN had become. So when I ran into GameFaqs it felt too good to be true, its truly a video game database/website paradise to me. It does kind of make me sad that the number of active users has significantly decreased compared to 10 years ago but I hope people will begin appreciating and utilizing GameFaqs more and its popularity can grow back to like it was back then. It's much much more useful and overall better in every way than its parent website GameSpot or any video game site for that matter. So hopefully someday GameFaqs becomes the most popular gaming website like it deserves to be.

I feel like GameFaqs is steadily becoming more underappreciated so I had to let GameFaqs know how I grateful I am for them and I'm sure there are thousands of users who share this appreciation and gratitude. I hope GameFaqs lasts like this forever. It means more to me than just a website, its literally an important part of my life now. So please never change GameFaqs you're already perfect.

It would be great if people can post what they're grateful for as well under this topic.
