Like if a NY Dem was somewhat deferential to the financial industry, would the response of Bernie or his supporters be "that's fine, they're just representing their constituents?" Or Cory Booker with pharma?

I honestly don't see how Senate term limits will help with gun legislation. The NRA (and all lobbyists really) has to spend more money on buying politicians once terms are up? Okay.

In my opinion, the filibuster allows Republicans to block progressive legislation when they're out of power, and when they're in power, it gives them an excuse to hide behind Democratic opposition to their unpopular and monstrous beliefs. If Republicans want to pass an abortion ban, then let them fucking pass it and accept the consequences of having their policies ACTUALLY enacted.

I see Bloomberg got trained.
The soda ban was universally hated and was a lot more than a soda ban, it affected things like orange juice too. One of the most authoritarian ideas he tried his hardest to push. Spinning into the Corona virus was a solid spin.
