Has spent his entire political life basically being an excellent human being and career politician. Has huge support from the electorate of the United States, but because he is slightly more left than what the "moderates" want, the Dems would rather torpedo Sanders over having him run.

I don't blame anyone for being disillusioned. Hope he does get the chance as this will likely be the last attempt.

They're not afraid of Bernie, they're afraid of his movement and the people standing up to challenge their positions of power.

If Trump won't cause the Republicans to splinter, nothing will.

Republicans maybe. Democrats need to stay to keep whoever comes after them from stripping minorities of their rights.

The Republicans are presiding over record job growth, unemployment, stock market gains, lower taxes, higher take home incomes, improved trade deals and decreased illegal immigration.

Bernie Sanders wants to disarm you, raise your taxes, make you dependent on the federal government for health care and open the borders to anyone who wants to come in.

If you look at this and come to the conclusion that it's the Republicans who are the problem here, I dunno what to tell you.

The Republicans want to make this country into an ethnocentric theocracy and strip everyone they dont approve of of their rights. They are scum.

The Republicans inherited a great position from the previous administration and have thus far maintained fiscally while basically trying to strip basic rights from entire groups of people.

If I wasnt phone-posting from work, I would look it up, but its explained well by the Iron Law of Institutions. Essentially, those who hold power in an institution tend to, over time, believe their interests are the institutions interests. This tendency is especially pronounced in institutions where accountability from below is weak or absent.
