So this is reaching way back for me, but my first LEGO guide was LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy. Just for fun flavor, I put in a memorable quote from the movies for each mission before getting to the actual mission walkthrough.

When I did my LSW Complete guide, I wanted to go back and do the same for the prequel missions (I never did a guide for the first LSW). I legitimately remember struggling to come up with quotes off-hand and had to go back into the movies to find applicable lines.

And I'm not saying I'm not going to have the same problem with LEGO Skywalker Saga when the ST gets worked in, but I really don't think the PT is all that quotable. Like the PT has plenty of dumb meme lines, but I feel there's so little actually quotable dialogue in those films, especially when compared to the OT.

That's my perspective.

Off the top of my head, the only prequel quote I can think of that isn't pure camp is 'the ability to speak does not make you intelligent.' Everything else is memorable for the wrong reasons. This of course plays into the Law of Diminishing Irony, in which people get so invested in the memes that they wake up one day and believe unironically that Revenge of the Sith is actually a good movie.

Yeah, having dialogue that's so stupid or asinine that you never forget it isn't a positive trait. The sequels have plenty of memorably silly bits, but much of it is actually meant to be funny.

The new movies have some memorable quotes because they are unintentionally meta.

The PT has some great things going for it. Under the veneer of awful dialog and craptastic directing, there's some amazing worldbuilding and a pretty good plot arc. It's mainly the delivery that makes it borderline unwatchable.

The ST is the exact opposite in many ways-- it features haphazard worldbuilding and an aimless plot, yet the minute-to-minute dialog and acting makes me care about the characters. The ST is definitely easier for me to rewatch.

The entire ST is worse than the PT.

I don't think any SW movies are worse than Attack of the Clones tbh. Literally the entire movie is talking and one Dooku fight at the end lol

Ok the only one I remember from there was the Colosseum battle, and that was one of the worst jedi fights I've ever seen. They kinda ruined the jedi mythos in that fight. Like some people were dispatched so easily. Even in Ep 1, at least the jedis there showed no trouble dealing with anybody else but other jedis

All the other Jango shit is completely lost to me. He wasn't much of a character. People kept saying he was important and then did not much else

After TLJ and TRoS, the entire trilogy just seems like a boring waste that felt like it happened in a few days.

Basically the Empire is back with a new name, they're looking for Luke, don't even find him and he dies anyways. Almost everybody including the government is also killed, and Palpatine stops by in a clone body and becomes way more powerful than ever. Only to die in 2 minutes.

The Mandaloroian and fuck, even the lackluster Rogue One, shit all over it. The PT is also mostly garbage, but TPM is saved by Jinn and Maul, AotC by the Kamino and Tatooine stuff and RotS is generally fun and cheesy with a very depressing ending.
