I miss the Playstation Demo Discs that used to have really neat menu overlays on them. Some were awesome.

I remember there was an NFL game on the Demo disk. Full game but it was only 2 minute quarters with 2 teams available but for some reason the entire league roster was available, and the menu was quick so i would just trade all the players on an available team with the players on a team i wanted to play as and it worked.

I remember going to a friend's house and we'd play the Tony Hawk demo to death before I eventually got it. It was just the warehouse level, Tony Hawk, and Superman playing. My sister had one that Legacy of Kain, a Gex game, and a few other games I can't remember. One was a little strategy tank game with an isometric perspective (if I remember right) that I really liked but could never figure out what it was.

I miss that feeling.. Some games these days make me go "Wow.. That sure is realistic." But going through the transition of 2d to 3d gaming as a lad was mind blowing.

Same here
I'd spend as much time playing those demo discs as I did whole games

This was normal life for the low and low-middle income families.

then you'd go to a friend's house and he'd own like 25 games of which you've played all the demos for.
