I've been to a drive in once. It was fun, but I hate bugs, and heat, and the outdoors, so to make it a regular thing I'd have to live someplace where those things don't exist.

It could be like a fun ev charging station. Charge your car and watch a movie. Get popcorn etc.

The place I grew up only had a drive in for watching new movies, it was a fine experience and you dont get distracted by some dope making commentary during the movie.

Where I live there is one drive-in theater and it's the last one from the glory days. I think it first opened in the mid 1950s.

I'd like to go to a drive in, but I don't know if there's one near me, and I'd have to have a vehicle of my own to go to one, so I voted for "No, I'd rather wait to watch a movie in a regular indoor theater"

Most of the drive-ins that I grew up with closed one by one through the 80s , 90s , & 00s.
They were great for triple feature night at reasonable prices , and when they went from those crappy speakers to radio broadcast for audio, that made it a more pleasurable experience. But , once they started opening the multi-plexes with 6 or mores theaters, the drive-ins couldn't compete vs. the time when there were only 2 or 3 theaters in the surrounding area. In areas with consistently good weather , there is probably a place for drive-ins, but the market for them is very limited. ... Copied to Clipboard!
