Like maybe NBC was pissed that Steve said that and thats what made them decide not to renew his contract. Such a shame though. Personally I thought the show was still great after he left (I never saw it as The Steve Carell Show and always loved the entire ensemble) but a lot of people couldnt get over him being gone.
