When I'm out it's pretty high but as soon as I return home it's kinda what it always was / normal. I've been stressing out and wiping down things when possible, like the cart today when I was at the grocer, put some hand sanitizer in my vehicle, using mobile payments when possible so I don't have to use touch on checkout, keeping distanced and preferring self-checkout when possible.

And to be clear I think my chances of death upon getting it are statistically low given my age but I would hate to accidentally pass it on to an older member of my family with some pre-existing conditions.

I dont want my step mom to get sick and Im afraid that Im going to lose my job at one point

Closing in on an 8 or so. Not worried about the virus specifically, but working in a drug store during it is driving me mad.

I and other coworkers have been on edge for weeks at this point.

The virus made things less stressful since I'm getting at least 6 weeks off of work. It's gonna be tough getting back to my normal routine next month though, since I've gotten used to sleeping at 5 am and waking up at 4 pm lol

True. When Im out, I do question the presence of an invisible danger.

Id say when I'm out, it jumps up to a 2 or 3. In my house it's a 0. I'm over the initial shock of the news to. I know it's getting progressively worse, but I'm not one to get on that rollercoaster.

Pretty low for now. I'm still working so my life hasn't been upended too badly.

I'm not so sure about my long term job security though. Even if we don't close during this, there will likely be lay-offs in the coming months as things inevitably slow down.

Im worried about the amount of deaths, and if thatll spiral down to a worldwide great depression.

However, I will be getting my normal paycheck as well my regularly scheduled grant/loan money. I just won a scholarship for $22.5k cash and my roomie is an essential worker. We wont have to worry about rent because shell be keeping her job

Still working and there haven't been many cases in my city so pretty much everything is normal. You just can't eat in restaurants.

Insanely stressed

I live with my mother and grandmother ATM, neither one of them are likely to survive a severe case. My grandma is already a neurotic mess to start with and the crisis is making her even more crazy, she's driving my mother insane with her neurotic bs. To top it all off, I'm sick with what I believe and pray is only a cold. I can't tell either one of them I'm sick because they're both losing their minds! I have no idea how badly it could go! I'm just keeping it secret until either I can't hide it anymore or until I'm better. I'm also concerned about my father, who's a smoker that works at a gas station, he's not likely to survive if he catches it either. The only good news is that me, mom, and grandma live in the middle of nowhere, so it's less likely that we catch it.

Friend, it sounds like you care about your family but go to the f****** doctors or tell someone because if you do have it and you get them sick youll never forgive yourself.

Right now about a 5. It has my attention and I am taking all the steps to keep myself and my family safe, but I am not driving myself crazy over. Then again I have the luxury to stay home pretty much every day, I probably won't need to leave the yard for two weeks.

I'm trapped in Thailand with no income now. Have no idea when I can get back to China. Was denied boarding of a plane to Shanghai with s bunch of other foreigners on the 27th, they claimed we arrived too closely to the foreigner ban at midnight (the plane arrived at 1044pm). I lost $400 that I couldn't really afford to lose at this point flying to Bangkok and then back to Hat Yai the same day for no fucking reason at all.

I honestly don't know what we are going to do. I can't even try to get a job here because the schools are all closed. Can't try teaching online because my computer is still in China.

I've lost over $8,000 because of this virus due to flights, lost salary, etc. And now that I am going to be stuck outside of China for who knows how long, that number will rise by nearly $3,000/month due to lost wages.

I have to call the Canadian embassy shortly to find out what I need to do for the emergency loan. I am going to need it now.
