Frog does not fit the narrative. He was never in a group with a lack of females, thus forcing him to go through that inner hermaphrodital change, nor were there any governments in the Middle Ages dumping chemicals in the water to forcibly turn the fucking frogs gay.

Every now and then I sulk on how much better a title Kingdom Hearts could have had if it were a crossover with CT instead of FF.

To be fair, it feels weird even referring to KH as a Disney/FF krossover. It's just Disney movies being slightly altered for an action rpg experience and starring an OC. Beyond out-of-kontext FF kameos, the games have nothing to do with FF. It's like if Marvel vs Capcom was actually just Capcom vs Capcom, but with OCs as the main protags/antags and Iron Man occasionally assisting you from the background on Mega Man's stage. With that in mind, CT being chosen over FF would not have made a difference. Somebody on Disney's side would've had to actually be on board with making something other than a retelling of the movies.
