I just spent 2 and a half hours making and doing an island and I only got 25 spiders before I lost my patience. You can't scare water bugs away so you have to keep catching and releasing them to spawn more bugs. They also blend in so sometimes I was just circling the river trying to find them. Maybe you can get a perfectly flat island with no river but otherwise I don't know if it's worth it. I mean if I sell the 25 spiders and 10 water bugs I caught to Flik then I'm making about 315k bells. I've made like 50-75k an hour just fishing and that takes a heck of a lot less setup/focus. skullbone 04/03/20 4:09:18 AM #410:	No but if you get good conditions (flat island, bugs spawning, no river hopefully) you can basically remove all of the rocks and trees to increase the chances of tarantulas spawning. The only 4 bugs that will spawn are tiger beatles, wharf roaches, tarantulas, and big water bugs. You can scare away the beatles and roaches but you have to catch and release the water bugs. Once you get them to agree to move in they ask you if you know if anyone was thinking about leaving, but if you say yes you don't get to pick, they'll ask about a specific villager. I don't know if you can reset to get them to pick someone else or if it's fixed. For me it was too late to reset so I couldn't try. I collected all of series 1 when they first came out. I started collecting 2 and 3 a couple of weeks ago when I found packs for a regular price (I have around 60 of each set).
