Saw someone getting emotional episode of Naruto and they said they were used to animes making them cry since they watch Hunter x Hunter, but I may be forgetting the game of the show

There was one scene that was sad. It also involved the best arc although the narrator nearly fucking ruined it

it's mostly a fun series, but as it goes on, it takes some dark turns.

one of the main characters has a tragic past, but the series doesn't really have any notable sad moments until the last arc.

the anime, at least; I haven't read the manga.

There's like 150 episodes building up character development until it reaches an emotional climax between the protagonists. And then it hits you with two more pretty quick

Try it out, if you like Killua when he's introduced then you should watch to the end because it's really about him.
