Not really. You can be pro lgbt but against bad writing and forced representation. For a game that handles this well check out Nier for PS3

If the media makes it obvious the character is gay, it's being forced down our throats.

If the media just mentions that the character is gay without showing it, it's pandering.

Last of Us had Bill, he was gay but that was not his character. Last of Us Part 2 has Ellie, she is gay and that is her character.

I kind of lost interest in the Last of Us after the DLC because I knew what it meant for the series going forward. I don't really enjoy how people write Lesbian characters, it's just kind of cringey and annoying.
Like they spend so much time trying to legitimize their love interests. It's like those shows that go on too long so the characters start dating each other and then the show has all this bad writing like "I love you soo much" because they think the audience won't believe it unless they drill into our heads how much they love each other.

Ellie was a great character in Part 1. She could be a great character in Part 2, but the trailers have presented her as some flawless badass icon. I am concerned, not bitching.

Fictional characters are designed, every trait they have was picked for a reason. They pick different traits to pander to different groups.

It's whatever, I like it best when I have the option to just not experience it. Like Mass Effect and Three Houses.

There are LGBT characters I like in video games. I like Gracie from Animal Crossing. I like Birdo as well.

I would have to think of some others. I thought the LGBT characters in the Bioware games were really bad... I'm not sure if you guys remember the gay crew members who basically were just extras who were gay and that was it.

I guess I liked Liara if she counts and pansexual or whatever

Poison is one of the more famous LGBT characters you forgot. I do find it funny that in 20 years America went from censoring Japanese LGBT characters to criticizing Japanese LGBT representation. America used to think LGBT existing was offensive, now it's not portrayed in the right way. What a weird place.
