Republican Mayor, Brant Walker who is in a small town sent police officers to break up social gatherings that was being held after people violated the governor's stay at home order..and his WIFE was among one of the people getting their freak on!!

The Alton Mayor apologized to the community and stated he instructed the police chief to treat his wife, Shannon "as he would any citizen violating the "stay at home" order and to ensure that she received no special treatment"

He said "I am embarrassed by this incident and apologize to the citizens of Alton for any embarrassment this incident may have caused"

It happened at 1am when police informed Walker to inform him that they were in the process of breaking up huge parties in the town after Governor JB Pritzker made an executive order to prohibit social gatherings and stop the spread of the virus

He said "My wife is an adult capable of making her own decisions and in this instance she exhibited a stunning lack of judgement. She now faces the same consequences for her ill-advised decision as the other individuals who chose to violate the order"

Officers busted the illegal party and cited everyone including the "first lady" of Alton who was there and now she could face a YEAR.

Walker is a small businessman and investor and won as a write-in candidate.

Agreed. And kudos to the mayor for saying to give her no special treatment.
Though that's just what he's saying publicly. We'll have to see what eventually transpires w/ her compared to the others busted at the party.

If you're scared of catching a virus stay home. Don't punish people for not treating this like captain trips. Grocery store employees and gas station workers come in constant contact with the public and don't have the option to stay at home

Youre talking about two completely different things. Are grocery store and gas station workers being treated horribly by being forced to work for no hazard pay? Yes.

should that give them the right to go out partying at a time like this when everybody should be isolating? Funk no.

He just said that to try saving face. She'll suddenly get all charges dropped when he can privately bribe the prosecutor.
