Once we have a vaccine I don't see how this will completely alter our lives on the scale that people are acting like it will. There will be an economic recession/depression but that won't last forever. And maybe a further rise in working remotely and getting rid of handshaking.

We don't know what the new normal will be. It could be a lot like the old normal but with periods of measures to contain small outbreaks, it could be changes in how we live day to day, it could be no change at all.
