I never played the original, but I have the port on Steam. I finally installed it and just started. I'm about 4 hours in, but man, this story moves fast. I want to play a bit more, but I have to be up for work. It's incredibly linear. Jessie got way more screen time in the remakes (and if it weren't for those, I would've thought Jessie was a guy). I noticed some minor dialogue or story changes too. I liked them overall. I saw a video that was 8+ hours of cutscenes? Sounds amazing. Haven't watched it though. :) Also, I love some of the unique one-time events, like when you meet Aerith for the second time and you have to drop ~~barrels on the guys chasing her~~. Apparently, my mic was not working, so I didn't record myself talking initially. I had to go back and commentate on over an hour of gameplay... and I still have another hour to commentate. But so far, there's been a large variety!
