what are some free/cheap websites to get sheet music?

I browsed a few and some of the comments appeared to indicate the music to be transposed incorrectly on most peices.

Think there are websites online that'll do it but I think most DAWs will do it too. But depending on the midi file you'll need to use some brain power to figure out what to play depending on how many tracks it has.

Well I play guitar but I dont bother reading music when tab is available. I use Songsterr a lot. Has a lot of rare transcriptions. Not sure where to go for piano. I would try a music store for some books.

Problem with buying a book of music is they are often filled with music I don't care to learn. I would rather not buy the whole book for a song or two.

People usually post their cover with sheet included on youtube , saves lots of time . But making sure they didn't make some changes is important .

There are certain pieces that are not there especially anime soundtracks where you need to contact the artist directly.

Musescore is free and can import midi to sheet music. I usually just search for the specific song + "sheet music" a lot of the time though. Often someone will have transcribed it

This site has an inventory of free sheet music

With guitar you dont really have this issue. There are maybe one or two Metallica and Pantera (alone) songs I wouldn't care to learn and that leaves basically twenty-five albums of songs to learn. Good luck.
