The Wolverine, despite getting just an "okay" reception, is one of my personal favourite movies. It had the potential to be great; the compromise of PG-13 and a cheesy climax held it back. I loved the setting, and I think it deserves credit for trying to be a smaller-scale character-driven movie with an unknown cast, contrasted by Wolverine recovering from his descent into darkness. Simple scenes like Wolverine just eating a bowl of soup and trying to connect with someone were the most engaging parts of the movie, for me. <cite>Agent M posted [p:937728768] in Which was ...
