Dragon Quest is one of the biggest JRPG series on the planet, while Monster Hunter has always had a niche, hardcore audience.
Even with World bringing so many new players in, the people who really get in and play Monster Hunter for the gameplay loop are ride or die. Dragon Quest has a wider audience and broader appeal, so it's going to attract a wider swathe of people --- So you don't get to be a saint, martyrs never last this long Now Playing: Skyrim, Final Fantasy X-2 ... Also, Dragon Quest games have caused problems in Japanese society. its so popular, that they have to release it on a different date than other games...or I think its the reason that games are released on a certain date, I forget which. ...
