Does the museum upgrade automatically happen? Not seeing an option to upgrade at Tom nooks or w/e

For the museum upgrade to hold paintings, you talk to blathers after the update and then donate a painting. For the Nook store, that happens after a certain amount of time. Also, some say that you have to spend a certain amount, as well... But once you reach those requirements, it just happens on it's own. I think Isabelle will mentioned it the day before it closes that it will upgrade...

There is some achievement thing related to Villager birthdays, and visiting the islands of friends to talk to Villagers on their birthday apparently helps with it.

I'm dying laughing.
My first visit from Flick is after the Peacock Butterfly nerf and, get this, it's raining too.

The game clearly decided since it gave me Raymond so easy when I wasn't even looking for him that I need to pay for him in sweet sweet 'wtf is my luck even'.

I'm not even mad, I'm just... Laughing.

Last time Flick was here, I had about 100 Peacock Butterflies and 50 Wasps to pull out of storage on my second character.

I don't have to worry. I'd been stocking up on Peacocks well before this.

People think it is cause people were becoming super rich from bugs.

One thing they should do if they don't want people becoming super rich quickly, make a cap of turnip purchases every week. And also can only sell in your home town, I feel that would slow down the rich becoming rich quicker.

I think it is. I mainly play undocked from my desk, but I do like have the option to play from my TV for maximum couch relaxing. I've told my friends to search for Switches instead of setting for Lites.

You'd need a GC controller adapter for that.

Also you'll want a regular Switch if you ever want to do local multiplayer. Crowding around a screen that small is very much not ideal.

Yeah the switch can use that thing, however, GCN controllers don't have enough buttons on them. You literally cannot check the nook phone with the GCN controller, which is something you need to do a lot.

I've actually considered getting a bigger tv and rearranging my room to make playing docked a more enjoyable experience. Right now I have like a 12-year old 20-inch tv with a not very good gaming mode.

Iirc I had another one previously that was impossible to do as well, but I honestly forget what it was.
