Having her helmet on all the time would make dialogue awkward in live action, but having her out of armor too much would just make her whole character about being sexy. Netflix won't have anything to do with a product they can't force sex scenes and over the top violence in, where the characters swear like they're unsupervised middle schoolers and Nintendo won't have their characters depicted that way.

I feel like this could work as an experimental one-off short film but no way could a series or even a feature-length movie work.

Metroid Fusion was amazing bro. Metroid Fusion would not work as a series either, though. Like, it has "talking" but that games story is still told primarily through the atmosphere and gameplay. How do you make eight, 45 minute episodes out of Samus walking down corridors, shooting and absorbing X Parasites and having a computer relay orders to her? Look into your heart. I can see a Metroid series sorta like a Fantasia type of thing, where the spectacle is in the animation and how that does the storytelling.

Why not a prequel series? Focusing on her time as a child on an alien world. Then with the pirate attack and the Chozo taking her in. Maybe even leading into her joining the Federation or whatever.
I feel it'd lend itself better as a story/program than her solo adventures or pairing her up with guys just to flesh things out. Edit: Or just focus on visuals, like that Primal show. It told a string story with no dialogue. --- Work in progress, please be patient. ... Copied to Clipboard!
