watch tv and pull up any drama prime time show. the voices you hear in those are the standard voice. no accent. that's what I (and 90% of the american population ) sound like lmao

I didn't think that I had an accent (or I never noticed it) until I was about 13 and had an online girlfriend, lol.

she was from New Jersey, and she called me up one day and told me I sounded like a cowboy.

I was born and raised in northern California, so that's one of the last things I would have expected to hear.

People from Jersey dont get to judge other peoples accents.

In order to find out what kind of accent you have, try to speak a different language like how you would speak English... that's the accent you sound like to others. Just because you're used to hearing your voice does not mean you don't have an accent.

Of course, everyone does. Even the American neutral accent that people seem to think isn't one.

As for me, I've got a bit a southern accent. I tend to have a W in words where it doesn't belong like dog being dawg and such. Twice recently I've been told that I sound British, but I honestly don't think so. Just a regular country boy accent I think.

I dont think so but when I go other places they always say I do. When I used to go to Cali they would lose their minds.

Grew up near Boston, still have a Boston accent to some extent, though I left New England after college about 10 years ago. Comes out more when I'm tired/drunk.

Saw. It's just a W sound gets inserted into words that generally make an ah noise, so it's aw instead. Saw already has that.

People have said I have like a deep southern accent or a Memphis accent but I was born and raised in the Midwest.

Midwestern people sound like Southerners to me. I'm from the north east myself lol

My accent is kinda funky I think, whenever I heard recordings of it I think I'd say it is distinctly a nz accent but slightly off. Furthermore when overseas I have had a variety of comments on how nz AND not nz I sound which suggests to me that either a lot of people are bad at nz accent or I have some kinda weird unique twist. A lot of my friends were non nz born in high school at during university I spent a bit of time in Australia so that may have had an effect
